Translations in transit
Many - if not most - of the translations published on this blog so far are work in progress. If the living authors happen to pass this way, they are welcome to comment, either in the comments boxes or by email.
Yes, as David says, it would be great if living authors (and even dead ones by way of a medium) would comment on work in progress. I personally have had good cooperation from such authors as Jaan Kross. I believe in making sure with the author that I've not completely misunderstood something. But a translator into English has to be responsible for the final English version, as native-speakers tend to have a broader and deeper register than others.
