The most recent issue of Danish Literary Magazine is devoted to Danish children's literature. There are translated excerpts from recent books of prose and poetry, including works for older children and young adults. Kirsten Bystrup contributes a useful essay on aspects of the Danish picture book, with a detailed study of the work of two contemporary picture book authors, Hanne Bartholin and Rasmus Juul. The issue also contains a section devoted to non-fiction, with an account of the origins of The Children's Uncyclopedia.
